The Departed

2006. Won four Oscars, including Scorcese's only Oscar win. Loads of famous actors in this one. Hugely bloody, gorey and massive gratuitous violence. I only mention it here because I watched it on a Virgin Atlantic flight Friday. This is the most violent movie I have ever seen, bar none. I really regretted watching it.

I was happy when he met his end....

To me, the violence was secondary (although it was loosely based on Whitey Bulger back in the 70's. I loved the cat-and mouse interaction between DiCaprio and Damon.

I've seen Infernal Affairs (and it is very good) but I have not yet seen the Departed. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
