Responder - Britbox. This show was advertised on Sirius/Xm, staring Martin Freeman (Sherlock Holmes- Watson).
Anyway, it seemed kind of outlandish. then I googled the show. It is based on the semi-autobiographical book of a cop who worked as a cop in Merseyside as he described his issues with mental health.
He quit the force to become a taxi driver. Next, he became homeless. After this, he began a writing career.
