"Missing You" on Netflix

Really good. Definitely one of the best Harley Coben mysteries to be produced by Netflix. Excellent acting and intriguing story.

They are generally trope filled over produced low quality script productions that use a top billing actor to compensate.

I'll watch the series, but I know it is going to disappoint. It already has. The main character exhibits the 'irrational emotionally driven woman' trope. I really don't like characters whose behavior is simply a plot device, rather than behavior based on character development.

On the plus side: I thought it was well acted and an intriguing story. Kept you guessing right until the ending.

On the negative side: The main story resolved itself with about 20 minutes to go. I thought Huh? Now what's going to happen? Then there was one surprise after another. It just seemed kind of weird. Too much packed into too short of a time period.

It was a good escape to watch while bedridden with a mysterious virus. I watched it back-to-back with Black Doves and they kind of blurred together in a way, though they were very different. There was a park that I think was used in both.

I hear myself saying I don't like to watch violence, but I become a liar if it's a British crime or spy short series and I am either overwhelmed by life or not feeling well and it's villains getting hurt. I hope they keep these coming between now and the mid-term elections.
