The Buccaneers - Apple TV

Based on the last novel by Edith Wharton.

I was an English Literature major and vaguely remember having to read something by Edith Wharton. I am rather certain it was Ethan Frome. Whatever it was, I do recall being bored out of my mind.

Apple TV has now dropped Season 2 of The Buccaneers, the story of a group of wealthy American women who travel to England in the 1870's to find husbands.

In a need to escape the world, I binged watched both seasons this week. IT IS FANTASTIC! I am not a fan of period dramas, but this was so well done. The writing, the acting, and the scenery is all superb.

And Christina Hendricks is in it. And she is wonderful.

I think season 2 is far better than the 1st. Native Aug 10 #3

You are referencing a BBC production from 1995. I am not talking about that.

This is a brand new original series on Apple TV.
