Anybody watching "Pluibus"? I just finished episode 2 ***spoilers***
I'm hooked, even though I find it horrifying.
What a nightmare scenario!
I find the idea of having a hive brain just beyond terrifying. I don't want to know everything anyone has ever thought about me.
Ugh!!!
Also, considering the hive, or whatever, has all the wisdom of every human, they sure seem to do some stupid things.
Like, setting zoo animals free?
That's not kind at all!
If I were in Carol's place, I would have lost my temper over that!
That's consigning most of those animals to a cruel death.
I do suspect that somehow this infection is a set up for an alien invasion.
I'm also really disappointed by the five other "individuals" Carol met.
You'd think at least one would be freaked out by such a radical change in the world.

(5,183 posts)I've watched all 3 episodes released so far. As a huge fan of both Vince Gilligan and Rhea Seehorn, I've been looking foward to this for months. It has not disappointed! The only thing I am sure of is that this was set up by that alien signal. But why? I suppose we are much more compliant as a happy hive, but....? Each episode so far just keeps raising more questions, so I will wait for you to see the 3rd episode before saying more. I will say that I am intrigued on many levels, but that's part of what Gilligan does oh-so-well!

(29,005 posts)WHAT DID CAROL FIND?!?!?!?
It has to be horrifying, right?
What would be horrifying?
They are turning dead people into food?
Is it Soylent Green?

(1,227 posts)There was a pretty long pause between when she lifted the cover and her gasp. That says to me that she couldn't wrap her head around what she was looking at at first. And then she did. And then she gasped. It wasn't something obvious in there. Her brain had to put it together for a few ticks. I've read some of the theories right after watching and they don't typically align with that pause while her brain put it together. But I'm not reading Reddit everyday either. I just think that pause is significant.
I don't want to post more because of giving what I have seen away. I just wonder if anyone else noticed the pause and thinks it means what I think. I guess we'll find out this coming week, either way.
