Soooooooo........my daughter has had a tough time with her college work due to untreated
fibro. She's finally on a prescription that works, and looks to be graduating this semester. I and two of her sisters also haveautoimmune disorders .
Soooooo....she had to sit politely and listen to her aunt comment that chronic diseases would be resolved if people exercised more.

(5,756 posts)Fibromyalgia is not some phantom disease that comes from not exercising enough. Yes, we could all do with more exercise. But exercise does not take care of chronic diseases like fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis. This must be your sister-in-law and not your sister since you didn't correct her.

At least Auntie didn't tell her Jebus would heal her if she just believed enough.
All of them work on fibro as long as we take the right drugs first.

Oy.
Good on your daughter for finding meds that seem to be working AND being able to graduate while dealing with the pain. That's a huge accomplishment and I hope she's so proud!
