Wierd symptoms - seeking input

I do intermittent fasting, though not religiously.

On Monday, I ate nothing, then went for a fun XC ski with family. Our plan was to ski for about 1.5 hours, eat a picnic in the car, then go back out and ski more. I see now I should have had at least a light breakfast.

We had lunch in the car - ham sandwiches. This is homegrown heritage pork from a neighbor - leftovers from Christmas Dinner! I don't eat a lot of meat normally (though had been chawing on this ham for a few days), and I know I normally struggle exercising after eating a big meal. We had organic potato chips (!)with the meal, and small candies after the meal, then went back out to ski more. I drank 20 ozs. of water with lunch.

Almost right away I felt woozy - lightheaded, dizzy, and suddenly really lethargic! My hands got super super cold (it was about 28 degrees out). We had to leave pretty quickly!

Since then I continue to feel lethargic and nauseous from time to time, and developed a minor rash!

I wonder if I blew out my gut biome trying to digest a huge protein hit while demanding blood to other parts of my body (xc skiing, cold)? We make our own keifer so I'm about to have a smoothie. Hope it helps! Hope it goes away fast!

Wondering if others here are big gut biome or intermittent fasting adherents?

Hypoglycemic or hyperglycemia can cause symptoms like that. Also maybe check for covid. Your GP can help you.

but intermittent fasting helped me get my blood sugar back under control. I do have home testing - will do.

Thanks!

I can tell immediately with similar symptoms as you describe, if a consumed meal contained even a hint of bacon or pork or other derivative.
I gave it up fifty years ago but now and then it appears in trace quantities in something I have consumed and it gives me the described awful side-effects.

Maybe this is not your personal case since you consumed plenty of pork recently, but just throwing this out about similar reactions I have had.

but similar reactions, although not severe. I also get a real thirst and can't get enough water. I absolutely love pork but have had to give it up.

or similar episodes because of accidental ingestion. My heart and pulse accelerates and I break out in a overall body sweat complete with tingling and the feelings of a rash, however I do not break out in hives. It takes hours to subside.

makes people sick. Many of your symptoms. And I agree, you should not have done something so strenous without having any fuel for your body. I hope you feel better! Electrolytes are important also. Pedialite is my preferred..
