Related: About this forumMy daily program
Glad I found this forum. I started a YT channel back in February to keep me accountable to my powerlifting program. It is a testimony to doing resistance training as a senior and I encourage as many people as possible to give it some thought as the benefits are well documented. I call it my supplemental health insurance policy. Here are a couple of recent movements.

(1,392 posts)I hear you about exercise as a supplemental health insurance policy. Great way to put it!
As a life-long exerciser, coach, and competitive artistic and figures roller skater well into my late 60s, I truly enjoy daily workout routines (aerobic, powerwalking, weights, machines, and hula hooping). Love that by converting my large family room into a fully equipped home gym, that I can stick to the plan on my own schedule. And stay super-inspired doing all that to the upbeat music and meaningful lyrics of my fave Richard Simpson Laugh and Reach. With my pups cheering me on!!
Nothing more therapeutic during these otherwise horrific times.

(15,047 posts)Even if youve never exercised just starting will see an almost immediate increase in wellbeing.
And in many cases you dont need equipment such as doing body weight squats.
Thank you.
