I have recently heard of Ketamine therapy having some profound effects on depression.

To be clear: Casual use is not a treatment for depression. But doctors have developed a protocol for medically supervised use that may help people who don’t get relief from other medications.

I've been following the developments around Ketamine as therapy for many years now, and hoping it would eventually be available to me, but I still can't come close to affording it.

A friend's husband, who was in the financial position to get Ketamine therapy for bipolar depression, had remarkable success.

My friend said they'd found a great discrepancy in treatment centers. The one they finally got results from is in Baltimore, MD.

Most of my siblings and friends love it, but I gave it up not long after college because it made me so paranoid and actually increased physical pain.

I know that doesn't mean the derivatives would similarly disagree with me, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Which explains me not looking into them.

If you are a veteran the VA will give you an Alphastim. Odd thing is apparently you have to know about it to ask for it. Weird.

I shared info with a friend who is a veteran & they did not hesitate to give him one.

He has reported excellent results with the unit.

My psychiatrist was a huuuuuuuuge fan of the prescription med treatments. Anything else, not so much. I think I knew a lot more than he did about alternative treatments. He was always willing, though, to write for off-label use, which was helpful.

He just retired, so now I need to find a new one. Maybe I should have tried to switch before now, but it's the old Devil you know bit. And I am not good with change.

You know it's a good treatment when, if the person isn't smiling within a couple of minutes, you know there isn't enough goop on the electrodes.

Stupid device has been acting up lately.

I've seen people in a wide range of ages perk up within a couple of minutes of starting neurotherapy.

I need to look into this neurotherapy!
