Does anyone else always feel exhausted after a therapy session?

I did manage to get laundry done but now I feel like I could go to sleep. After I feed the kid cats, that is.

Also, the nightmare medication as finally started working. Every once in a while one will slip through but usually my dreams are now just very weird.

When my mother died, I went to grief counseling which became counseling for other issues. Many, many other issues. MIButterfly Feb 2026 #6

EMDR, IFS, soma. Healing trauma work is so exhausting. But worth every iota of the effort.

That is emotionally exhausting with all that heavy thinking and articulating.

I would always schedule my appointments for as late in the day as possible because I didn't want to have to go to work after a session. It was very exhausting.
