Secrets are haunting my dreams and nightmares again.

How did I do this to myself?

I'm tired.

If the secrets are real ones you have been concealing from yourself and those close to you then I hope you have someone non-judgmental to whom you can start talking. If you have no person who understands your illness and will not judge then you might try Post Secret - though I have no idea how effective that would be.

If the secrets are imagined ones, then you might try examining what your mind thinks those secrets might be and writing them down.

In either event a self help group might help - if you were over here (GB) I'd suggest seeking help from local Health services but I suspect you are in the US and help of that nature would be very dependent on your financial circumstances. If you are covered then at least the ACA means that you cannot be refused further coverage because of a "pre-existing condition"

But since you say 'nightmares', I have to imagine that these secrets are ones you are trying to keep from yourself/conscious mind. Sleep is a time when the different parts of your mind can communicate and it sounds to me like there is something you need to know.
