A new hint for controlling overeating...

WebMD sends me (and lots of you, I bet) tons of emails with sensible tips on all sorts of things, not the least of which is healthy eating...

I know abut stuff like smaller buffet plates and drinking water, but I had no idea the color of your plates and bowls could affect your appetite.

Enjoy, and don't forget the bubble gum for shopping trips:

eat slower and take smaller bites and you can only eat pancakes, mashed potatoes, soup, and other mushy delights -- using a salad plate and using an appetizer fork --- because that's as wide as you can open your mouth! Oh, and you'll need a straw to drink. I'd be glad to share my diet with others. So far two months of "dieting" with another 4 -5 months to go.

I recently had a gland infection that caused severe pain on the floor of my mouth while eating. The pain would last at least 20 minutes. It gave me a good reason to fast, but I recovered in a few days.

Wishing you a speedier recovery than projected.

is nature's way of holding the roots of the teeth in while the healing process is working.
