Blech, over weight and its my fault

I buy the groceries. Mr X bought me a large-sized beautiful outfit. Its too small. Since 2016, I've lost weight on keto. Fifty lbs in 2016.

Time for a diet. I should lose 20 lbs. I don't exercise enough, sit a lot, and buying crap food like cheesecake.

I'm disgusted with myself.

About five years ago I fell and broke a number of bones including leg and serious spinal fractures.
Needless to say I sat around for quite sometime and gained 20 lbs!

I have always been small so it was a lot for me. I got disgusted too
and resumed walking almost every day. I enjoy that.
And worked on eating fruits, veggies, and protein.
I have a dairy allergy so protein means fish and meat.

I still have the occasional sweet and I eat some carbs every day.
I still have a Coca Cola drink every day.

But I don't keep many high calorie things in the house or I will eat it.

PS I lost the 20lbs. And feel so much better back to my old weight.

I hate the idea of making salads by hand.
But the salads come all prepared these days.
All the fixings including the salad dressings.
I also love the big bag of chopped salads.

I add chopped meat to them.

I also love strawberries and watermelon in the summer.
And in the winter I drink a fruit smoothie almost every day.

Which is weird because I am not a fruit and vegetable person at all.
But I found a few things I like and stick with it.

Also I always have meat or fish of some sort in the refrigerator I can snack on.
And I eat those thin sliced pretzel snacks if I am hungry for carbs.

I also stop eating about 6 pm in the evening.

I also walk almost every day. I like getting out in the fresh air and walking
around the neighborhood. At first I just did a short walk, a block or so. Now I do two miles
in less than a half hour. Not bad for someone who has a lot of pins and rods in my legs, ankles and back.

They say sitting is the new smoking and drinking. So I get off my behind once and day and take a walk.

And lose the self-critical self-defeating attitude!

And lose the cheesecake too - just on birthdays perhaps.
(If you don't buy it, you can't eat it.)

We are out of chocolate and lollies, and I'm loving it! And cheesecake. lol

My fault, I was doing so well, lost 45 pounds, had a workout routine, then I changed jobs, less people stress but more project stress, work later hours and then time changed. I have not worked out for months.

to lose the weight in the first place. Ditch the cheesecake, go back to keto, take a walk every day and you'll be able to fit into the new outfit, or even a smaller one.

I weigh myself about every other day.

It is much easier to lose one pound as opposed to many more.
Some days I over eat so then I have to cool it for the next day or two.

I also want to say that I don't like diet food. I would rather have the real thing
in a smaller amount than fake or bad tasting food.

I also go out to eat and have what I want, but only eat half and save the other half
for another meal. It is about portion control.

I buy prepared meat sometimes or cook it to add to the salad.

I love the Costco tenderloins, so I will cook those and add the beef to my salad.
I feel like Queen for the day eating that salad.
You don't feel deprived at all.

Instead of reaching for something bad I will eat some of the meat for a snack.
Hard to feel sorry for myself with that.

I eat a boxed or bagged salad almost every day.

I lost weight, too and it stayed off for a couple years. I thought I could ease off my food plan and start eating things again. But no. I might think I was on a low carb food plan long enough, but my body lets me know it is life-long.
