Go back far enough and we are all related.

My brother loved to dig into family trees. Informed me we have two famous 8th cousins. Booker T. Washington and Ab Lincoln. The to top it off, 36th cousin to George Washington.
I have a family tree done by the US Government that show a, many times great grand father, Thomas Barr that was involved in supplying our Revolutionary Army with goods from Europe in the late 1700s.
Like I said, I figure we are all related if you dig deep enough.

for his work during the Revolutionary War. So they finally decided he was owed some money, only he was already dead. They decided to pay his defendants and had to who they were and traced the family. Only never got down to paying my generation.
On my mother’s side, I had a famous 3rd cousin retailer, JC Penney and he did a family tree. Mom gave him all her info. When it was done he offered her a copy for $400. So she got together with a couple of other cousins and they split the cost for one and then made copies of it. That whole side were Scottish and frugal. One of my first memories was my meeting him and shaking his hand in front of a new store he opened in Iowa. I was 5 or 6 years old then.

My fear is there might be a mass killer hidden in a closet waiting to claim me.
