Green beans from my garden on the side. It is a rare rainy August day here in MT. I wanted some comfort food...hoping this day of steady rain puts a damper in the wildfires in the region.

it hasnt rained here for 6 weeks

August is almost always very dry. I can almost feel the earth breath a sigh of relief. Did TX get any of the moisture from Hurricane Hilary? I wondered of TX was too far east.

Dad had baked cod, creamy pesto pasta, and yellow squash.

Wife and I had Texas Roadhouse Roadkill. Roadkill is a chopped sirloin steak smothered in grilled onions, mushrooms and cheese.

I'm just not in the mood to cook tonight. On the plus side, the last couple of days have been nice and cool here in central Arizona.
