Cooking & Baking
Related: About this forumGot a huge thing of chicken drumsticks from a friend, and it's too hot too cook... crockpot activated!
I haven't even broken out the BBQ this year, too much trouble.
So I'm gonna try a crockpot cook and just make them all at once of I can (might have to do 2 batches).
I got some non-alcoholic beer in the back of the fridge. (Dad used to do an amazing beer-baste on BBQ.)
I'm thinking some chopped garlic, and leftover onion slices (use 'em up)
..and just some basic seasonings like rosemary, thyme, etc...
Then I can strip the meat off and save it for use through the week. Tacos, and I got a nice masala sauce in a packet, etc... I wish it was cold enough for soup! Should I bag and freeze the bones?

(19,049 posts)When its hot I do almost all my cooking on an outdoor table under the awning. I have an air fryer, a crockpot, a rice cooker and a hot plate on the table out there. During a heat wave I even move the toaster and coffeemaker outside.
