I'm installing new air fryer oven, so I'm having items from last night's preparatiion, one dish of which I did not even have a serving because it got so late.
The baby arugula/fennel/green apple salad was delish because of the dressing, which had toasted fennel seed in it.
I used fennel seed that I saved from last year from my various fennel plants. It was the toasted seed that made it so
unique.
The dish I made and only tasted was the Fish with Sizzling Olive Butter. Looking forward to a regular serving of that tonight.
Kombucha: ginger-peach
Dessert: Light vanilla ice cream with toasted peanuts and caramel.
p.s. don't know why the paragraph spacing on this is so odd. Tried correcting it but it wouldn't correct.

(6,841 posts)Havent used it yet because I work all weekend.
I owned a hand me down but it kept blowing g the GFCI so I trashed it. Looking forward to the quick single baked and air fried items I am going to make.
Me, too. If I get all this done I'm going to bake corn muffins.

(6,841 posts)Never have tried that and should work well in the air fryer but will likely have two batches.
Will try curry powder on one batch

Hopefully, they changed the construction to be safer!
Enjoy!

(41,702 posts)thanks for the warning!!
There are warnings in the cookbook and instruction manual but it's one thing to read it there and another to hear it from a friend. Wow.

(74,396 posts)Would've damaged formica countertop.
I returned & got a Ninja 12-in-one & love it!
I posted exact temp readings as precaution to others in review but surprise! One Pot rep emailed saying their product is not counterfeit & as such, my review was removed. I never made a claim of it being counterfeit, only safety warning about exterior heat.
Instant Pot sold their soul to china, sadly.
I hate an orig Instant Pot & absolutely love it for it's exceptional quality.
That is no longer the case with that company, sadly.

1/2 tsp . fresh cracked pepper
Dash of Tabasco, if desired
Oil
Preparation
Peel plantains and cut each into 3 pieces

In large skillet, brown beef with the onion, garlic, salt & pepper, using a little oil if needed
Add the plantains and remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes (I added some water because it seemed very dry)

(24,294 posts)We bought some beautiful lean pastrami and thinly sliced soft rye bread to make Reuben sandwiches. Put Thousand Island dressing on the bread, a layer of sauerkraut then a heap of pastrami topped with sliced Swiss cheese, Close it up with another slice of rye bread then heat it up on a griddle. Served with kosher dill pickles, Cape Cod russet potato chips and Brooklyn lager.

(909 posts)Mashed potatoes, cauliflower and green beans. This will be repeated once this week, and I'll have the rest for breakfasts.
Other repeat meal will be quiche. That makes 4 meals. Then there'll be one night of hot dogs and one night of pasta.
And on the seventh night - she went out.
Everything's bought at fairly frugal prices, and I'll be blanching the extra beans to squeeze into the freezer. Also, the Farmers' Market had some pretty good-looking eggplant, so I have some Baba Ghanoush for fun.

(53,373 posts)Sauteed chicken breasts over fried eggplant, topped with marinara sauce, prosciutto, and provolone. Then topped with pan sauce and sauteed mushrooms, served over spaghetti.
My first try. A lot of preparation, but worth it..
