I made some tuscan bean and veggie soup a day or so ago that's getting us through till tonight...
we're not doing much, on a tight budget. just a box of stovetop stuffing, mashed taters, gravy, and canned cranberry with some roasted chicken thighs... just me and my son and his GF. Very quiet and calm here while it snows like crazy outside ...we're in Tahoe

Your meal sounds delicious enjoy. I love vegetable soup, i did same last week chicken thighs gravy stuffing mashed and green beans.
As for memories in Sierra Nevadas snow would be so high on side of roads. Right after plows went through.
And we would stay in Reno or Fernley waiting for it to open no chains.
We were paid to sit yet once in Sacramento if it was bad weather on Truckee.
We would run southern route back to east coast to get home.
