Chicken breasts that had been marinated in lemon & pepper. I put them in the slow cooker and just tasted them. They are so tender.
Tossed green salad that I made last night. Still fresh. Cucumbers, orange sections, red and yellow pepper, red cabbage slivers, toasted cashews. Citrus vinaigrette.
Artisan roll, toasted.
Cherry flavored kombucha.
Dessert: friend bought me an Oreo frozen sandwich bar. Good, 'cuz there's only one!

(19,377 posts)I am pondering our weather today. We had about a half inch of snow on the deck today. It was 88 yesterday and got to 32 this afternoon. The sun came out and it is 45 now and the snow is gone. What will tomorrow bring?

Steam-fried in evoo and veggie broth: chopped onion, celery, red bell pepper, sliced carrots, sliced yellow squash, mushrooms and minced garlic. When almost done I added canned petite tomatoes, kidney and black beans, dried thyme, bay leaf, black and cayenne pepper and fresh minced parsley, covered and let simmer before stirring in the cooked brown rice. Hot sauce after plating. Cheers!🥂

(7,738 posts)only I add about 1/2 lb of hamburger and instead of squash and mushrooms (fungi and I don't get along), I add chopped peppers of various kinds... depending on which peppers I use and how many, it'll make a difference in the base spiciness of the dish. It's one of my go-to dinners when I can't think of anything else to cook! (gryn)
