Another childhood friend coming up today from Mississippi. He's up here for our friends funeral on Wednesday.

Good Morning 🌞

70 years is a long time. Lot of memories. This is going to be a hard funeral for me. I hope I can hold myself together.

When we were six years old, he rode his bicycle to my house to show me he can ride without training wheels. He peddled his bike down our driveway, and out into the street right out in front of a car. The car hit him and threw him into the air. Another car going the other way ran over him and drugged his body for 30 yards or more. I watched the whole thing right in front of my little eyes. I ran out and he was still under the car. Blood everywhere, and I saw a bone sticking out of his leg. He was in a body cast for almost a year. This set him back one year in school from me, but we remained best of friends.

I will miss him dearly. He always said to me, I love you.
