What's for Dinner, Sat., June 27, 2026

Chicken Marbella, which has apricots, olives, bay leaves, and roasted plums. The sauce is made from the chicken roasting, and adding garlic, capers, parsley, a little brown sugar, and white wine.

To go with it, baby carrots roasted in maple syrup.

Tossed green salad. Homemade vinaigrette.

Kombucha: lavender blueberry.

Dessert: Green tea mochis.

From the wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Boy
The Polish Boy is a sausage sandwich native to Cleveland, Ohio. It consists of a link of kielbasa sausage placed in a bun, and covered with a layer of french fries, a layer of barbecue sauce and a layer of coleslaw.[1] While the sausage is typically grilled, some establishments will quickly deep fry the sausage after grilling and prior to assembling the sandwich.[2]

The photo in the wiki article is exactly how mine looks.

The chicken I cooked in the crockpot Th. turned out just as I like. I used some today to make creamed chicken. I added some mixed vegetables. Made a batch of scratch biscuits.
I had strawberries and ice cream earlier.
