Tomato report and question

Planted Mountain Princess first week of April. Harvested two partially green this morning. There were spouted seeds inside. Never seen this before, is it just the age? I often have plants that over-winter, but no tomatoes.

germination inhibitor to leave - and since tomatoes are mostly water, the seeds germinated!

I will trash the rest of the fruit on the plants. I'm so spoiled. Not looking forward to mushy store-boughts.
