Shadow Monday -- Let's play Jolly Ball!

This is Shadow's third Jolly Ball. She chewed through the handles of the others.

In the next to last picture, Shadow looks so happy with her Jolly Ball, smiling just as pretty as you please. But in the last picture, she looks like she'd bite off the hand of anyone who tried to take it from her. Is it just the camera angle that makes it look that way? Because I can't believe that sweet, pretty girl would ever be so mean.

jealously guarding her JBs and sharing them with us. Her Blue Ball is without doubt her prized possession. It took a while for her to relinquish one after we had tossed it for retrieval and it became a keep-away game. She still seems to snarl some upon approach, as in the aforementioned photo, but it's a pretense. Part of the game. Once she's ready to drop it at our feet, she will, then step back and wait for the next toss or kick.
