Related: About this forumToday my cat, Martini, is going to the vet for tests to determine the cause of her high blood pressure.
We were supposed to go Monday but the little scamp went into hiding and since my vet's office will cancel your appointment if you're more than five minutes late (because their time is valuable and important and yours isn't) I had to reschedule. 10 minutes after her scheduled appointment time, she came out of hiding and kept walking back and forth in front of me, almost like she was taunting me! Four hours later, she stood on my lap making biscuits on my stomach, while licking my nose and purring. I said to her "Where were you and your damn biscuits when it was time to go to the vet?" but, of course, my heart was melting. Such a sweet kitty.
Right now, she and her sister, Holly, are down in the basement. Hopefully, it will be a lot easier to find her on one floor than three when it's time to go!
For five days, she took her medicine like a champ but last night, she fought me tooth and nail. At least she didn't spit it out when I finally got it in her. I guess her being cooperative was too good to last!
Thank you to everyone who showed me such kindness, concern and caring last week when I first posted about Martini's trip to the ER. I was truly touched. DUers are the best!

And yes MIButterfly, DUers really are the best in their genuine and loving care for one another.
God Speed.
