Related: About this forumMartini - UPDATE
Today Martini and I went to the vet and her blood pressure was normal! I guess I wasn't as bad at getting the pills into her as I thought I was. She even gained a few ounces. She's still very thin, though.
I decided to forgo x-rays and an ultrasound at this time because I am leaning toward not putting her through surgery and chemo and the vet agreed. If they could guarantee that she'd have five good years after surgery and chemo, I'd do it tomorrow, but of course, they can't. I just can't see putting her through all that, having her suffer and then losing her anyway. I am more interested in quality of life than quantity of life. And right now, outside of sneezing blood two weeks ago, she's acting like a normal, healthy, (albeit skinny) cat.
So now we're just taking it one day at a time, Martini and me. Thank you, wonderful DUers for being here for us! It means more to me than you'll ever know.
Love,
MIButterfly (aka Martini's mom)

This is a quote found in Pets (I've forgotten who wrote it)
"One of our vets once said to me that we bring our animals into
our lives, knowing we will outlive them, but we do so anyway
because life is so much better with them in it."
