KC ~ He went for a walk recently. Started out on the front porch and sat down for a bit on the south-side porch.

It was a nice day. He turned around back to the front porch. Spotted the dog looking for him and hid. Shadow never saw him.

Hmmm, where to go next . . .

KC caught a glimpse of himself in the French Door window.

Then continued across the front porch, past the ShopVac and

down onto the north-side yard.

After a quick inspection of the gas meter,

he walked on toward the back porch.

Jumped up and looked around.

Nothing exciting doing, so he started back he way he came. And got
found by That Dog. She wanted to lick his head, he did not want her to.

So KC slipped 'neath the gas meter, leaped back onto the front porch,
got to the front door and waited for his photographer to let him back in.
Enough excitement for one morning. Shadow stayed outside.

Shadow ~
Picked a nice to play Jolly Ball. She asked politely.

Daddy gave it a good toss. Shadow in pursuit.

She bounced her blue ball around in the air

chased it down to ground,

and returned to Dad.

Whereupon Shadow refused to relinquish her prize.

And decided she'd had enough JB for one day.

But it was still a nice day. She lay down on the side porch.

But soon got bored and

trotted over to the back porch. Which was better.

We thought we'd check on Mommy, working in the barn. Shadow is
always so helpful.

And Mommy loves her anyhow.

Thanks for coming out. Bye for now.

As do I. To brighten the day is why I take pictures. Knowing
that it works is immensely fulfilling. Hugggs and pets back
and many thanks for your kind words.

(2,656 posts)Better later than never, I say. Great photos and commentary as usual, George McGovern! I absolutely love the expression on Shadow's face when she was being helpful in the barn. It made me laugh out loud. She looks like she's thinking "heh heh heh. This is how we do it!" Such a clever girl.
