Related: About this forumToday is KC Monday. Shadow's taking an extra day off, to put her own post together. She shall return tomorrow.
There he was one recent spring day, regarding himself in the mirror.

Suddenly he looked up. He'd felt a draft.

Daddy must've left the bedroom door ajar again. KC looked out,

and looked around. It was a nice warm day.

Might as well go for a walk.

But something felt weird. He looked down. He'd become black and white.
KC called out to his personal photographer. "Hey, I like living in color! Fix it please."

"There that's better. Thank You."

He continued his stroll on the porch, checking for changes since last time he was out.

Got to the end and kept going.

KC sauntered along the edge of the backyard.

He stepped to and under the back porch.
Looked out. "Holy Cats! Are they ever going to mow this lawn?"

KC likes exploring beneath the porch.

At the end he turned the corner onto green grass,

and strode alongside the house.

He approached that odd-looking boxy-like-thingamajig. He'd seen it before. It was not a threat.

But just in case he stepped beneath it and kept close to the house.

Then launched up onto the porch.

He had every intention of going back inside, but before you can say
fidgety kitty he had to scritch an itch.
.
Felt better afterwards. He decided to press on, it was so nice outside.
HIs paws paused just past Mommy's roll of pasture fencing
Hollered at Daddy "You Did It Again, Didn't You Goldang It!
Now I have to dive through the Seavy Duty air-brush to color up!"
Dad snickered.

He made for the old shed. KC hadn't seen it since last fall.
He nosed around. Since moving here, he liked to hide out therein.

Emerging into sunlight a good roll was in order.

He rose, stretched and saw all the dirt piled up from Mommy's ditch digging.

KC was so intrigued he never noticed he was back in black and white.
He peered into the ditch, which had been dug to accomodate a waterline to the barn.

And dropped down.

Mere minutes after, he shot up and out and back into Technicolor,

headed for the shed. His Spidercat sense had raised an alarm.

Seconds later visiting pup Pepper showed up.

She ripped 'round the corner,

but never did find that darn cat.

Who peeked out, saw the coast clear and

hastened home.

Back on the porch whom should he see but SHE.

KC kept cool, ambled up, said he wanted to go in too. Moments later
the camera guy let them in.

And the pair has lived happily ever after, for the last five days. All is good.

(40,836 posts)Its a good thing they have me to patrol the grounds and keep an eye on things around here. As usual, humans worthless hearing, sight, and smell, renders them way below the animal world. Although I have to admit, Mommy is pretty amazing.
