Tuesday's ShadowTails - Her history with DU - Chapter 3 - Mostly from our former farm.

Shadow has enjoyed her five-year-relationship with Democratic Underground.
Right from the start she's been warmly welcomed. She and I thank you all very much.

Sniffing the summer breeze. Shadow's always been an outdoors dog.

In her domain.

She loves to run. Always has, from short puppy legs to
long leaping strides.

For years at the old farm she hunted field mice. And got good at it.

We operated an obstacle/trail course for horses and riders.
Guess who was self-appointed greeter? She reckoned riders
were there to see her!

Shadow loved to bark at birds. She still does.

Her prized possession is a Jolly Ball. She's gone through a few.

This is her game. Soon as you move toward her, Shadow snaps
her blue ball up and trots away.

We used to have to bribe her with a Milk Bone to get the bed back.

Nowadays we've reached a mutual-usage agreement.

At the old farm she loved to squiggle beneath Mommy's recliner.

She also barked at our neighbor's cows. One day they
"ganged up" on her and Shadow was OUTTA THERE.
When her pride returned, she'd risk a bark or two at one
or two cows. But no herds.

Shadow has been expressive her whole life. She shows
many faces ~ like this one lying on our bed at 6:12 a.m.

Or taking a nap after breakfast.

All in after another busy puppy-dog-day.

But we love her smiles best of all.

Thanks for dropping in. Until next time ~

Like this time in the barn, checking out a horse's stall:

I thanked her on your behalf, but she looked like "Well, where's my treat"?

10. Thank You Horseshoeluck! Oh she lived to hunt. Sometimes she'd leave us a "present" on the porch.

I can never see enough of Shadow and KC. They make the sun shine, every time. Thank you, for posting them. In these (surreal) times, they offer a respite.

Young Shadow loved to pick up twigs and show them off.
