At the old farm a friend had a horse who did not play with its Jolly Ball. So our friend
gave it to Shadow. It was red and Shadow Loved It From The Get-Go!



She chased it, grabbed it, tore it up with her teeth, to where Mommy had to get
a replacement which was blue.

She played Jolly Ball with our grandson at the old farm and had, well,
SHE HAD A BALL!

More than once she grabbed air, but could not catch it.

At the new house.
We still play with Shadow's latest Jolly Ball, her fourth.
She loves to chase after, retrieve it and proudly return it to the tosser.

Recently I asked her to find her blue ball. Then got down on my knees to take her picture.
She came flying around the house and bowled me over.


"Dad - you okay? Didn't mean to knock you over!"
"Oh yeah? Gimme that Jolly Ball YOU SILLY D0G YOU!"

She picked up her blue ball and trotted off. Game over.

But the game's never really over. Laurie gave the ball a great toss once.

And bless her nearly nine-year-old heart Shadow took off after it.
