My poor kitty (a bonded twin) has been so sad since my husband died in May.
I thought I'd tried everything from CBD to tablets of CBD to being ultra-tolerant of his every single morning at 2:30 a.m. rage.
I thought I was going crazy!
I noticed he had vomited on his cat blanket and I threw it away and found the same lady still selling them on ebay. I bought two new ones and threw the other old one away and she sent them to me with a few extras. How very kind indeed!
Oh the joy! They so loved them the second they arrived along with a couple of stuffed catnip mice!
My poor lonely kitty wrapped himself up in the new blanket by the window and he was immobilized for TWO ENTIRE DAYS! !!
So, I've managed to get two nights of
sleep as have the other two cats I have (they were as sick and tired of it as I have been, letting out huge *sighs* during his "episodes" of grief).
Problem solved by some new catnip blankies!
Too simple wasn't it?
I've been real sick lately due to another UTI and the MS. Ugh!
Hopefully this household is finally on the road to recovery and btw, my late husband's solitary dahlia that managed to live just came into full bloom at this time of year!
I think he's looking out for us. Well, I hope he is!
Take care friends!

(21,445 posts)I knew him since I was 21 years old and we were together for 44 years.
What a huge loss it has been.
One day at a time is all I can say.
Here a picture I took of the lovely pink dahlia that managed to LIVE that he planted with his hands. It has a dozen blooms on it right now! A dozen!
He had them surrounding the entire front yard and people would walk by in awe of his fine work. He'd always allow women that came by to have one if they asked.

(15,804 posts)Surprised its blooming this time of year, but not sure where you live. He is watching over you and apparently this lovely dahlia. May it bring you a bit of comfort.🕊

(21,445 posts)He was a from an ancient farm in Ireland.
His favorite thing to do in life was gardening.
He had it so they'd all bloom on my birthday which is the 4th of July.
No blooms this year and I was told to forget it, they were all dead, just like he is.
That is obviously not the case!
Thank god for big favors!

Glad to hear kitty is doing better with his grief process, and hope you are feeling better soon.

The UTI is going away I think.
I am better today and able to eat a bit again!

The adjacent smaller dahlia is starting to bloom now as well!
What a gift!
Who else thinks he is still here?
