I am so very sorry for the loss of your precious boy.

It was done at 2:30 and very peaceful. We're still crying... can't help it. But he is not suffering and hopefully is having a reunion with his sisters and brothers. We're so thankful that our vets will come out to the house so we didn't have to give the little guy a terrifying car ride as his last experience.

I've been there several times and it never gets easier.

She was lucky to have so many years with you, but I know that doesn't ease your grief.

She reminds me of my Pippin, a Korat who lived to be twenty-two years old. I had trained him to use the toilet, and he used the head on the boat. He was my best buddy. As he became weaker, I fixed him a cozy bed and a litter box in the bathroom. One day he struggled to get up to greet me for the third time that day. I told him was okay, it was time for him to go. He put his head down and drifted off shortly after that. I've missed him most days though he left many years ago. He's buried under my studio, and still is my muse.

Though no one could replace Gracie, I hope you'll be able to find someone who can reside in your heart next to her, as I have over the years since losing several wonderful companions.

She was a beautiful companion who I am certain loved you as much as you love her! Eighteen is a long stretch for a cat and an obvious sign of the love and care she received during her time on this planet. It seems she was happy to be in her comfort zone when she passed.

It's easy/hard to mourn but think about the good times you had together.

I've loved and lost way too many over 70+ years.

A good good life.

HRH made it to 21. I did get her put to sleep when she started showing signs of pain and told me it wasn't fun any more.

No matter how long they live, it's just never enough.

I know how you feel. I lost my 19 year old cat. She had showed up in my back yard as a kitten and moved in and took over my house. I loved her very much.

she must have had a wonderful life with you and, considering that we all have to go sometime, her way of going after such a long life, seems just about ideal. I hope you can take comfort from that.

She looks just like the one I had for almost 17 years. She passed away on June 19, 2017. I miss her a lot. Her name was Little Gray, it was the only name she would come to me for. I raised her from a four week old kitten. She was such a sweet baby.

She's lovely.

Next month will be a year since my cat and best friend of 18 years "Baby Girl" passed away. Miss her every day.
