I don't know how I spent half my life without it.
A lot of things could break in my car or apartment and I could put up with it, but not the A/C.

...I went on a site visit to arrange supply of a raw material that nobody had on the market.
Was near New Orleans and mid-April.
Since it was around 60 here, I had a sportcoat on.
Cool here, air conditioned airport in Chicago, air conditioned plane, air conditioned airport in NOLA.
I walk out of the terminal to get the shuttle to the rental car & the air hit me like a truck!
90° & very humid.
My first thought was "How did people live here before electricity?"
Even fans had to be massively important.
Air conditioning had to feel to those folks like the best thing ever invented.
