Declaring a fake emergency as an excuse to deploy the military to police civilians is one of the most canonical examples of authoritarian takeovers.

Overseas, people see clearly what Trump is doing. Here in America most people — especially those with power or influence — are in denial.

Although, the first class passengers of the Titanic did get escorted to the lifeboats first.

7. To do what precisely? Shoot random people on the street?

Oh THAT will do wonders for Donnie's cratering approval ratings. The mere sight of automatic weapons on DC's streets is disastrous for the regime, though apparently they're too stupid to realize it. That's the thing about goobers like Trump. They inevitably go too far too fast and it blows up in their faces. He could have just grifted relatively quietly, but oh no! He's pre-programmed to fuck it all up.

The story of his miserable life....gain some success through grift and carnival barking, then blow it all up with his innate stupidity.

3. Well, most are in denial.

The wealthy, however, cannot claim this. They were either in on it or they are staying out of it so as to not draw attention.

Which will stop working once the regime has no one else to go after. The rich are playing games with the rest of us as pawns.

I, for one, will not forget it. I sincerely hope that others will remember it as well. I am not holding my breath over this, but I do hope it will be so.

I am tired of the class system in this country. It is responsible of most of what we are dealing with today. Aren't you?

9. Doge boy got jumped by some kids specifically two 15 year olds

X influencers had their cause celeb, a white guy bloodied by black people (kids). Loomer and the rest drove this relentlessly. There was a sense that these kids were supposed to know who Doge boy was. Why wouldn’t they? He’s one of the RW influencers heroes.

This massive overreaction was fueled by their own media. Yes it’s a distraction from Epstein but that’s still not going away. Being consistently inconsistent as they are, the RW influencers still want answers.

I think it was also meant to be a show of strength before the summit with his boss.

Basically it’s a self fulfilling prophecy. Internally created and pretty much only popular in that bubble.

11. I heard a rumor the DOGE 'victim' was involved w a 15 year old

I head scuttlebut from DC about that DOGE staffer. They were sexually involved with a 15 year old. He thought she was 16 and when he found out he had her trapped in his car. She was being rescued but those parts of the story didn't make it out. So typical GOP evil stuff.

Doge boy is 20 and it was 3 am. Was he drinking? You can go in some bars while underage so….
With his technical skills I don’t think a fake ID would be very difficult. My daughter (not a partner at all) said it’s pretty well known where anyone can get a fake ID.

What I’ve found is that she was his companion and when he saw the 10-12 people approaching he got her in the car. There may have been a mention of taking the car but from the way he ended up, if they’d wanted to take the car he was in no position to stop them. Even if she was inside the car with the keys and the doors were locked, if this group had wanted the car they could’ve taken it.

10. Keep this in mind

Last November the 77 million who voted for that gutter rat were in a state of denial. They apparently denied the chaos, insanity, nepotism, racism, mishandling of Covid, alienation of our trusted allies, attacks on civil liberties, the environment, unions, etc. of his first term. That many voters should have never voted to re elect that piece of crap, but they did. There is no way to know many but I suspect that many of his 2024 supporters are still in denial as to his continuing dismantling of our democracy. I still see plenty of Trump flags and hear praises of Trump even now here in relatively sane Maryland. I contend that there are more morons in this nation than sensible and responsible citizens. The huge number of Republicon election victories across the country at all levels is proof positive. Some of those wins is due to voter fraud committed by Republicons. The theft of the 2000 election from Al Gore is proof. The Democrats are blamed for the losses for not connecting with the voters. The problem is IMO that too many voters are too stupid to vote for their best interests. You can't cure stupid.

For decades there was an old adage that we should never doubt the wisdom of the American people when it comes to elections. That may have been somewhat true in the 20th century, but it is definitely not true in this century. Such irresponsible voting by so many simpletons is likely due to the accelerating dumbing down of America. Proof of that scourge is everywhere. Trump often says he likes dumb people. He should know since he is one. I never thought I'd see the day when stupidity is praiseworthy and intellectualism is frowned upon.
