Man Charged With Murder In Connection With Shooting; Claims Self-Defense

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- New information has been released on a deadly shooting that happened early Tuesday morning in Charleston. The man who shot a 22-year-old Charleston woman, Matthew Roohollahi, has now officially been charged with first degree murder.

Roohollahi's home had been targeted by a drive-by shooter three times since Sunday, the latest incident happening about 1am Tuesday.

Shortly after that shot was fired at his home on Lakin Street, he fired a single shot through his own front door. That bullet hit 22-year-old Andrena Smith -- killing her. Smith is his uncle's girlfriend.

"It's a tragedy, Adrena Smith was like my aunt. I loved her. I'm innocent," Roohollahi said as he was being taken to jail Tuesday night.

"Shortly" after he was shot at and the original attacker was already driving away?

How about installing a camera instead?
