Woman who bought guns used in Burnsville shooting of first responders to be sentenced
The woman who bought the guns used in the shooting that killed three Burnsville first responders last year is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday.
Ashley Dyrdahl is set to appear at the federal courthouse in St. Paul Wednesday afternoon after she pleaded guilty to two counts of straw purchasing guns earlier this year.
In exchange for her plea, several other straw purchasing and false statement charges were dismissed.
Court documents indicate that prosecutors have recommended a sentence between 30 to 37 months in prison.

It is good to see a straw purchaser be sentenced for the crime. Each offense could be up to 10 years so 2 1/2 years on two charges is actually fairly severe. It is not unheard of for the person deplete guilty and get no or minimal jail time.
