New details are leaking about why Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called top military officials from around the world for an in-person meeting in Virginia next week.

The former Fox News personality, now a top Trump official, reportedly wants to make a video of his brief speech.

Hegseth will be addressing military standards and the “warrior ethos,” multiple people familiar with the planned event told The Washington Post.

A White House official separately told CNN that the meeting is meant to be a show of force, demonstrating what the military looks like under Trump.

is not making the obvious connections. Are we about to go on "gunboat diplomacy" in multiple nations?

Picking petty fights he can't lose. All nations would be outmatched, so none will counter.

IOW - Pete and don have to surround themselves with white men to look tough. IOW conservatives do what they do best, waste money. And waste the time of important people with very important jobs. And trump is not in prison after being convicted of 34 felonies. I could ramble on.
