Just want to show those veterans who, for some inexplicable reason, support Cadet Bonespurs that we liberals have our veterans, too!...

(21,495 posts)My dad WWII, Navy, Phillipines. I mentioned this on DU b4. Democrat thru and thru. He reposed unexpectedly at 45, aortic aneurysm. I was 13. Big bummer.

(21,495 posts)was formed. Not a bad quality, but missed some of being a teen. My mom didn't expect this of me. I just felt compelled.

(23,409 posts)He was a WWII veteran, suffered through the Bulge, severe frostbite, death all around him. Today we would call it PTSD.

I don't know how guys lived with the kind of memories your dad had.....just awful
