Thoughts on Elizabeth George's "the punishment she deserves" No spoilers I think.

This is a story of 4 mothers. Actually there are 2 more. These women are what my wife calls spider women. They try to be in control of their children. The story starts out with an apparent suicide of a Church of England deacon. The truth has been woven into a twisted web of lies and misdirection. It takes a while for Barbara and Tommy to get together to work the case and they are so good in their investigations and interrogations.

I believe I should after reading this: Elizabeth George "is one of the most popular and critically acclaimed writers of our time. Both a page-turner and a deeply complex story about the lies we tell, the lies we believe, and the redemption we need, this novel will be remembered as one of George's best."
