I just finished a mystery book. **Spoilers

**Spoilers

It was one where the bad guy ends up getting away and picking up a new life somewhere else. It was a Matthew Scudder book, that’s why I picked it up. Matthew Scudder is the detective. It’s called Hope to Die.

I like where the perp is either good and dead or good and locked away. Maybe because so much of the time it doesn’t happen in real life.

I've never read any of his stories but I've read the author book about how he creates believeable characters...
