The "Gish Gallop"

I have just finished "The 42nd Parallel" by John Dos Passos, and he discusses the "Gish Gallop" or "spreading", in his section on J. Ward Moorehouse, so I was rather pleased to have it show up as an issue today. One of the great things about reading a lot is you pick things up along the way.
