Related: About this forumAnyone here read "Gone Girl"?
It isn't something I'd usually read, but I heard a lot of buzz about it, got it from my library and couldn't put it down!

I didn't totally buy the ending, but I loved it. Gillian Flynn writes very good books about very unlikeable people. Read her others, you won't regret it.

(16,726 posts)I find that interesting. I know we're about the same age, so maybe that's part of it. Also, I know you're an avid reader from some of our prior communications.
Yeah, the ending was a bit unrealistic, but if you think about it, so was the whole story. I definitely will look for another of her books. I have Anna Quindlan's newest one on hold at the library. I think it's "Still Life with Bread Crumbs". She's another one of my favorite authors ever since she wrote "One True Thing".

(23,156 posts)is that you stay up too late reading it. And the next day you are absolutely dragging because you were reading all night.

(3,477 posts)As soon as I finished I bought Sharp Objects and Dark Places. I think Dark Places is my favorite. It had a West Memphis Three vibe that I liked. They are making a movie of it, too, with Charlise Theron. Big year for Gillian Flynn.

(11,441 posts)I couldn't put it down, either. And just spent way too much time reading online reviews and IMDB about the upcoming film!
