Christmas came early for 81 lucky indie booksellers.

James Patterson Donates $473,000 To Independent Bookstores

The donation is part of Patterson’s $1 million #SaveOurBooks campaign supporting independent bookstores.

“In 2014, James will distribute one million dollars to independent bookstores across the country. The funds can be used for employee bonuses, expanding children’s book sections, book events, and other store developments. Over $550,000 was given to deserving bookstores in the first half of 2014.”
