A review of The Time Cellar by Marc Emory

A review of The Time Cellar by Marc Emory

This was a delightful book. Mr. Emory may have created his own genre since it is really a Science FIction/Historical novel. Yes there is a time machine that reaches 2 locations in the past. The author's knowledge of Early American history, wine and the Bordeaux region is shared to us the readers by being packaged in a enjoyable and amusing story. There are scary characters, a self serving woman or 2, a beautiful French woman who is the opposite of the other women, and there is adventure, danger and love.

I don't want to spoil the fun for future readers - so this is all you get.

and I'm having a lot of trouble getting past the very bad formatting: too narrow margins. Paragraphs that are not indented but have a space between. In normal books, a break between paragraphs shows a change in time or place, and it throws me off completely in a hard copy.

I hate to say it, but this is exactly why I so dislike buying self-published books. I made an exception with this one but would not have bought it had I realized it was going to have the bad formatting. I haven't even been able to get far enough to be able to comment on the narrative itself.
