"The Promise" by Robert Crais

I think all of the mystery novels in Crais' Elvis Cole / Joe Pike series are worthwhile, but the latest one is particularly good. Everything from police dogs and their handlers to international terrorists, all woven neatly together in that clean, sardonic style that Crais has mastered, over the years. A quick read, because it's hard to put down. Enjoy.
