It is to laugh - Maybe a little break...

This may be tl;dr - if so, sorry!

This is a bit of a different drum for me here. While laughter is a great release, there are others. This is one of the things in life that relaxes me in a similar way laughter does. To me, music is relaxing as it may be for all of you. Music plays an important part in our lives whether we pay strict attention to it or not. For me it's nearly as much as life itself. I have a fantastic collection of music - maybe a few hundred thousand titles more than I should. (I've been involved in music professionally (more consulting, than pro!), and mainly other things, for over 60 years.)

Together with a friend, we posted a few collections of music garnered from youtube to put on a great free site. While this is somewhat away from laughter, I apologize, but it may provide you a temporary break from today's problems if only for brief periods. There are a couple of urls listed you can visit and hopefully bookmark to revisit any time you might need that bit of "getting away from it all for a while."

On these sites we have music videos randomly played over certain eras - from the 50s to the 80s and maybe some later. You can watch the videos on your computer or phone. You can choose (vote for) the next song from a choice of three during what is currently playing. However, if more people on line select another song, the more votes that song gets, determines which song get played next. You can simply put the site on and let the songs play all day. If you choose, you can sign up and log in free and leave comments. Unfortunately, some songs may not play because of youtube restrictions like changed copyrights or transmission problems or illegal posts at youtube. But they are fairly rare. If you choose to watch on your computer, you can maximize the video. Most are reasonably viewable, but remember, some of these are copies to youtube from old VCRs, films, old studio tapes, kine-scopes and even some clipped from today's phones, movies and TV.

Sorry to go on like this, but I hope you can get some relaxed enjoyment from them. Again, feel free to pass them around to friends, especially to those like us who can remember and appreciate music from a period that seems, to us at least, like yesterday. And even for those hearing some of these for the first time, may be surprised that many of today's releases are covers from originals we old folk listened to! Enjoy, and again I apologize for not posting humor this time and hope you understand. (The humor WILL continue, though!)
