to dream of heaven

last night i dreamed of heaven and all was unexpected
was it my personal paradise or was it a choice to make
yet i did not ask that question to only wander neglected
being alive in another paradigm to cry a heart to break
the fractured become whole the shattered are flawless
hard ghosts walking among us who smell feel and taste
consuming the empty soul ripping skin though clawless
not knowing where to belong in no hesitance nor haste
amidst fields in quiet peace living on the edge of reality
to touch but not feel the beloved fingerless hands clench
awaiting this infinity to cease awakening at last in finality
the truth and the lies discovered an overwhelming stench
once more to live a life alone one more day of impotence
to seek a spirit beneath the bone to exist in incompetence
