the color of man

there is no one color of humans living a muted rainbow
no single race no single sex communicate in all tongues
seeing all the different demands our lives come and go
a life of pleasure or under a hex of random chance sums
whether descended from eve in a green garden of eden
or a heredity down in the spirals hidden from ignorance
embracing what each receives choice stretching freedom
as unseen dangers of the viral penetrates prior penitence
under the guise of evolution family trees burst in leaves
discrimination blames poverty calm cultures are erased
brings the time of revolution espouse what man believes
an accumulation of property as princes have been effaced
to live alone inside one mind creating man’s eternal hell
seeking of gods we never find every imagination to quell
