time moves as pressure abates the racing of the clock slows
hardness reduced to softness night animals tend to burrows
the clash of opposites conflates exchanges of gentle blows
letting go of a terrible tautness allows waters to freely flow
lying sedate at the edge of sleep unable to risk a love again
unknowing of memories to keep in an innocence or in a sin
