(14,197 posts)Nothing in any prior Hollywood film would prepare audiences for this. People could not pull up a clip or an online spoiler review to know what happens. The trailer for the film certainly didn't spoil anything which can be viewed below. It must have terrified audiences in an unprecedented manner or at least not to the magnitude of anything since Psycho or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Calling the film a classic does not do it justice.
