I had tears streaming down my face and leapt to the floor clapping when she finished. My whole family was cheering!

This performance is one for the books.

A tip off is when the announcers stop talking and are silent.
They know what they are looking at.
Gold medal and history in the making.

The thing is, Liu's recent performances, costumes etc were not that great.
Good but not stellar.

She knocked it out of the park yesterday.

5. Yup. We are huge fans of figure skating, too, and my mom and dad were before me.

"A tip off is when the announcers stop talking and are silent." When Tara and Johnny are speechless, you know it's because they are both breathless! LOL

but I just watched it via your link. I too had tears in my eyes. She really was enjoying herself on the ice. A well deserved medal.

You could just see the joy coming out of her...That smile was infectious..
I also loved the closing with the US woman's hockey team winning gold in overtime... The vid of the singing of the Star Spangled banner had tears coming down my face....uff

I love the combination of physical skill mastery and artistic expression. And Alysa added an element of pure joy! Youre right. It was infectious!

After a daily diet of Trump's oppressive and evil antics for exactly the past year, her joy and passion was a welcome relief. I needed that! We all did. Hence my post.
